b'This morning we all had a sleep in asit was our last day before headinghome.Leaving camp at 10.00am weheaded up Middle Ridge road, passing Black Soil Gully road where itbecame a little rougher, but thescenery was spectacular with the highcliffs as the road headed down to theBarkly river and across the bridge. We passed Rumpffs Flat campsitethen turned left up N21 track. At thestart it is steep with some fairly deepruts, and while climbing we had toremove some trees as the track hadnot been driven for a while. At the topits was amazing how the vegetationchanges. On almost reach Mt Skene, we turnedleft down Lazarinis Spur track. At thestart you can stay in 2wd for about 8.5kms, then you are into Low Rangeand the track becomes really tightwith overhanging branches. Not goodfor your paintwork! At the bottom youcross the Goulburn river then youcross the Goulburn river again, whichmade some great photos. Whilehaving lunch at the campsite there,we heard a vehicle coming downHolylands track to the river crossing. This crossing is usually deeper thanthe crossing we just did so oone ofthe guys walked the river and broughtover his winch rope, just in case, andwe backed one of our vehicles downfor a potential recovery. As norecovery was required, we headed offalong Army track to WoodsPoint/Jamieson road, turning right andpulled into Snakes Reserve where weaired up.This is where we finishedthe trip and said our goodbyes andheaded home along WoodsPoint/Jamieson road then ontoMansfield.Participants Russell 105 LandCruiser Andrew Triton Adrian 200 LandCruiser Jim and Narelle Nissan Patrol Nathan Ranger Tim Mc BT 50SimeonHilux Frank and GraceNissan Patrol Zac and Sarah Ranger David and AngelaNissan Patrol Dean Ranger Allan Triton Naomi and Dale 40 LandCruiser Deb and David suzu Steve Prado Geoff & Cameron Triton Geoff Isuzu TRACKWATCHMARCH 2022 23'
