Dargo has fuel.

Heading north out of Dargo to the Dargo High Plains Road.
Dargo to start of Blue Rag Range Track 60 km. Seasonal Road closure.
Blue Rag Range Track to Trig Point 7km
Low range track steep inclines and descents. Careful placement of tires required.
Bring your camera.
Return back to Dargo High Plains Road the same way
On the way back to Dargo some look out points. Lankey Plains Hut.
King Spur Track on the right-hand side. To Devils Hollow, views of Mt Hotham
Treasure’s hut and stockyards either side of the Dargo Road at the second corner of Clark Camp Road. This road touches the Dargo Road twice. It is listed on paper maps.
The huts on the western side of the road are on private property but as I understand
It, if you are respectful and no one is using the stockmans hut, you may view the two dilated
Original huts that the Treasure’s originally built and lived in. 1 room huts.
On the eastern side of the road, the original stock yards. Well worth a look.
Sunday 25th May. Fuel up and ready to depart by 9.30 am
Dargo to Talbotville and Grant.
Heading North out of Dargo again up to Dargo High Plains Road.
Turn left onto Grant Track and then left onto McMillans Road which turns into a steep descent. It bottoms out at the campground with a toilet.
Then after leaving Talbotville to do the 29 creek crossings.
As you traverse this area, keep an eye out for old buildings and artifacts.
The old town of Hogtown and the stonewall just before you begin your,
ascent of Bulltown Spur Track. This ascent is long and steep.
Care must be taken. As you pause at the crest, turn left onto
McMillans Road with care.
This eventually takes you to the old mining town of Grant.
In the Grant area there are signs letting you know what the make-up of the original town was. There is also a cemetery.
When leaving this area you head east onto the Grant Track to the Dargo High Plains Road then turn right and head back to Dargo.

Vehicle: All vehicles must be roadworthy, and be suitably prepared for the trip: • UHF radio • Approved front and rear recovery points • Snatch strap with two rated shackles and gloves • “All Terrain” tyres are a minimum Also recommended for the trip: • A first aid kit • Fire extinguisher • 20Lt of spare water are also recommended • Carry tools and spares suitable for your vehicle • A hand-held UHF • Air compressor • Tyre deflator, and a plug kit |

From Dimboola we will travel along the highway towards Rainbow and then Lake Albacutya. At Lake Albacutya we will air down and travel along the tracks to Big Billy Bore Campground where we will spend the night. The final day we will travel from Red Bluff Campground to Nhill.. |
