Social Activities (Free Wheelers)

The Free Wheelers is the social side of the club who organises many social functions for the club throughout the year.

In early December we have a Christmas BBQ which allows us all to get together before the Christmas period.

Our famous "Pigout" is a camping weekend around October each year. The "Pigout" is where we have a three course meal (soup, roast and dessert) cooked for us out in the bush, by some of our members. It is a big "catch up", as well as a huge feast.

Another event we hold, is a weekend away where we have our annual "Cook Off", where we have to cook a meal in a camp oven. The only rules are the meal cannot be a roast and it must be fully cooked on site.

Other popular club events include the Eltham Little Theatre, Jazz At the Zoo, Bike Rides along the Yarra, Ten Pin Bowling, Film Nights, Sunday lunches and Christmas in July formal dinners. These are fun social events, which also help people keep in touch during the winter months.
