Four Wheel Drive Victoria have received the following update from Parks Victoria regarding access in the Southern Alpine region.
• Wonnangatta Track has now reopened from Riley’s Creek Track Junction into Wonnangatta Valley. A dozer deployed into the area has completed repairs to a significant
slip and removed several large tress and other hazards. River heights remain high in all catchments across the Southern Alps and this includes the Wonnangatta River.
• Zeka Spur Track remains closed. The work to repair a large soak on the track is complex and requires the correct conditions to complete it. The Parks Victoria Southern Alps team have this listed as a high priority, but the weather needs to improve in the 1500m elevation zone.
