Four Wheel Drive Victoria has been advised that Parks Victoria, and, in joint managed parks, Gunaikurnai Lands and Water Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC), will be continuing its coordinated deer and feral animal control program in fire-affected areas across Eastern Victoria from March to June 2021.

This will be undertaken using a coordinated approach and with a wide range of control methods to help fire-effected wildlife and habitats recover as well as preventing further damage from wild animals including deer, feral pigs, goats and foxes.

 

Parks Victoria will be implementing this program in the following parks and reserves in Eastern Victoria –

  • Anticline Caves Reserve
  • Avon Wilderness Park*
  • Buchan Caves Reserve
  • Burrowa-Pine Mountain National Park*
  • Cape Conran Coastal Park
  • Coopracambra National Park*
  • Croajingolong National Park*
  • Errinundra National Park*
  • Green Hills Nature Conservation Reserve
  • Lake Tyers State Park
  • Mountain Creek Education Area
  • Mt Buffalo National Park*
  • Mt Granya and Mt Lawson State Parks
  • Mt Mitta Mitta Regional Park*
  • Mt Stewart Nature Conservation Reserve
  • Pheasant Creek Flora Reserve
  • Snowy River National Park*
  • The Pyramids Caves Reserve
  • Wabba Wilderness Park*
