Angusvale camping area is located in the Mitchell River National Park. The area is very popular with campers, school groups and day visitors.

As part of joint management, Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC) and Parks Victoria with the Gunaikurnai Traditional Owners Land Management Board (GKTOLMB) are redeveloping the Angusvale Campground. We would like to understand the views of those that visit the site.

The purpose of the project is to redevelop the camping area so it highlights the cultural significance of the Mitchell River National Park, makes use of the available open space, protects the banks of the heritage Mitchell River, provides designated campsites and provides areas for canoe launching, swimming and day visitors while at the same time protecting the cultural and environmental values.

The project will look at:

  • Layout of Day Visitor and Camping Sites/Areas
  • Interpretive information
  • River Access
  • Walking Tracks

We would like to hear your views to ensure your values and ideas have been incorporated into the project. The deadline for comments will be 4th of March 2019
