Well time we visited Keppel Hut we were wading through todays weatherman predicted it was goingwater and sheltering in the wood hut as well as the to be a mucky weekend butNOit washut itself.just making sure we all were prepared for rain andArriving at Marysville it was time to head back wet tracks. for dinner and tell outlandish stories like we all do Thankfully it turned out to be beautiful weatheron our trips away. It was noted that more were told albeit with a bit of misty rain and on the final runaround the campfire later on.quite heavy making for interesting tracks.Rob Sharp (MJOC) was our illustrious leader whose love of this part of the country was apparent with all the history and associated knowledge he imparted along the way. 9 cars headed out to travel the dozen or so tracks, stopping at special places including the power stations, Rubicon State Forest, Cathedral Ranges Park, Cooks Mill, Marysville and some really spectacular waterfalls to name a few of the areas visited. I can certainly see why Rob is so enthusiastic about the character and timeless beauty of the region.Drivers were kept on their toes with fallen trees that had been partially removed from the tracks but still needed a kick to get over them, a couple of cars got hung up but it was all part of the fun of driving 16 TRACKWATCH| Summer 2025'
