Members from the Toyota Land Cruiser Club of Victoria, undertook a major clean up in the Lerderderg State Park on Sunday 5th March, as part of the Clean Up Australia Day.

Members were guided by local Parks Victoria Ranger Charlie Dickie to several areas where large amounts of household and commercial rubbish had been dumped in the park.

Land Crusier Club Clean Up co-ordinator Alison Williams said, “ the Club was pleased to assist in the bush clean up, and was amazed at how people could treat the State Park as a garbage dump.”

Two large skips were filled with items ranging from carpet, plaster, bottles, vehicle parts, household items and commercial quantities of electrical wiring.

The Club undertakes a variety of community projects across the State to assist local communities as well as projects to return bushland to a pristine state.
