• Care for the bush, Tread Lightly and leave no trace of your visit.
  • Take out what you take in. Remove all rubbish.
  • Do not burn cans or bottles in campfires as they do not burn.
  • There are no rubbish bins in the bush so carry plastic bags for your rubbish.
  • Be self-sufficient with drinking water. Carry it in and/or know how to make untreated water safe for drinking.
  • Camp at least 20 metres from any stream, lake or reservoir
  • Dispose of any dirty water away from streams and waterways.
  • Do not use soaps, detergents and toothpaste in or near water sources so fish and wildlife aren’t harmed
  • Use toilets where provided or bring your own portable toilet.
  • If there are no toilets, walk at least 100 metres from water sources and campsites, dig a hole 15 centimeters and cover or take home waste.
  • Bury or take out your toilet paper, do not leave it lying around.
  • Light fires in designated fireplaces and extinguish with water until cold to touch.
  • Do not cut down trees only use fallen timber or bring your own firewood.
  • Use a fuel stove where possible as it’s safer and better for the bush.
  • Respect other bush users and leave the area as you would like to find it.
